Tina Thorburn

Clay by Tina is a one woman show run by Tina Thorburn in North East Victoria. Having taken up pottery as a hobby in 2014, Tina quickly built her life around her practice and quit her job and took it life as a full time potter in 2016. Tina throws all sorts of clays and works hard to have as low an environmental impact as possible by recycling clay and water. She enjoys making tableware and planters and is always on the look out for a collaborator!
Tina started Melbourne Ceramics Market with potter Daisy Cooper of Daisy Cooper Ceramics because as much as making ceramics is a joy, she appreciates that selling her work is necessary to keep living the dream.
Overall, Tina cares about making pieces that give others joy. Whether that is with their favourite coffee cup in the morning, or a beloved planter on their work desk.
